ORDERS

My daughter's surgery that was to take place back in April has been rescheduled for Sept., so I will be taking some time off and will be out of the office for a few weeks. I will still be able to answer emails and phone calls, but I will not be able to process any orders until I get back home. The ordering deadline to receive your prints before we leave for Omaha will be
TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2.
Any order placed after this date will be completed when I am back in the office. Thank you for your understanding.
I am now booking sessions for the Autumn Fairy Mini Sessions and time slots are filling fast so give me a call if you would like you child to be included in these magical sessions.
Sample images coming soon, as I have been photographing my Fairy models this week.

E-Session Sneak Peek

A quick sneak peek for this adorable couple. I had a great time at your session. Jay, I wish I knew what you were whispering to Amy to get such great expressions, or maybe I don't!! Anyways thanks for making it such an easy session, and I look forward to your wedding!

Adorable Miss Gillian

One look at those big ol' eyes and little dimple and you can see why I enjoyed my session with 2 month old Gillian. She was such a sweet little girl and did so well through all the outfit changes and poses we put her in.

Fun Senior

I try to go into all of my sessions with an open mind, but when this senior's mom told me that he was very goth and would only be wearing black I have to admit I was a little worried about the variety I would be able to get. I was pleasantly surprised during his session, he was such a character. I have so many fun expressions from his session, which I now know will make him happy.
Here's a few of my favorites for now.

Thanks for the fun session!

Let the cat out of the bag

Well other than my mom who called to guess that I am pregnant (which I am not!!), I had no guesses for what my big secret was. So I figured either A. no one cares (Heeeellloooo, Is this thing on?!?) or B. everyone has heard about me wanted to move from the garage that the answer was obvious. Please tell me it was B., please?
Yes it is true I have outgrown my studio/garage, much to my husbands dismay. I have found a great little shop downtown on Court Street, right next door to The Hair Studio. I will have much more room to move around, a separate area for storage, a changing area, actual central air/heat, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. It is a little sad to look at that list and realize everything I was missing in my quaint little garage.
I have been busy painting and cleaning up the place this week, have a couple projects to do over the weekend and hopefully will be moving in within the next week. If you are in the neighborhood and you see me down there, stop in I would love to show you around.

To Do List:
1. build faux wall
2. paint little wall blue
3. install curtains
4. Clean carpet
5. build counter
6. fix and paint pillar in middle of room
7. install signs
8. hang new pictures
9. move in

As promised

I had the pleasure of having a second shooter at a recent wedding and promised to add a few of my favorites that he captured that day. He did a great job and was able to see things from a different perspective or angle, so this lucky couple will be getting nearly twice the number of images. I really like the first one because the groom looks so much like Prince William, do you see the resemblance?
A little panning action as the happy couple exited the sanctuary after the ceremony.
More of the gorgeous flowers, I love the reflection of the stained glass on the rings.

Princess Jazlyn

You all know how I feel about newborn sessions and sweet baby Jazlyn reaffirmed why I love my job! She slept like a pro, gave me a few sweet newborn grins, and then woke up content and happy. I don't know if I luck out and get the best newborn models or if it has something to do with me. I would like to think it is me but I'll give some of the credit to the awesome customers I have. The parents of my most recent newborns have been so easy to work with and it has been a joy photographing their babies because of it.

This last one just makes me laugh... ok Jazlyn real subtle!
Hope this isn't an indication of how much she enjoyed her first session.

Lil' Firefighters

I had a great turnout for my Little Firefighter Mini Sessions. I have so many to share that I hope you don't mind if I narrow it down to the Kiddos whose Dad's are the real Firemen who protect us everyday.

Thank you to everyone that made this my best mini session series so far.
Remember the Autumn Fairy sessions that are coming up on Sept.24-28! Times are being booked fast so call now to reserve your mini session.

Big News!!

I have a secret to share...
This image has absolutely nothing to do with the big news I just wanted to share.
I would love to hear your guesses on what the secret may be, so leave me a comment!

Dance

Your gallery will be posted later this evening but I wanted to give you the sneak peek that I promised, sorry it took so long.

Such a gorgeous girl I couldn't resist a closeup. Thanks for coming in again, it was blast to work with someone so photogenic!

Three posts in one day

That might be a new record for me, but I couldn't wait one more second to share the adorable Miss K with you. She was so sweet and content, made me want to sneak her into my camera bag while her mom wasn't looking, although I think her mom would have noticed! I just love this shot. I was so happy to catch the fleeting two month old grin, but her foot got in the way. She was a wiggle worm, had her hands and feet moving the whole time, and I won't be surprised if she is crawling by her 6 month session.

Todd + Megan

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding this past weekend and wanted to share a few of the images. Everything about this wedding was gorgeous, the Bride, the flowers, the dress, the location, the weather, I could go on and on.

Sharing this one to show off the gorgeous flower arrangements that were Everywhere. I wish I could do more justice to the uniqueness of the flowers, but the lighting in the church and the distance I was at shooting at don't show just how beautiful they were. Inside the vase was filled with small glass beads that were lit from inside with submersible lights, just gorgeous!
More of the awesome flowers!
I just love this one of the happy couple dancing the night away.
Thank you for including me in your special day, I truely enjoyed it. I will share a few of the unque images Matt (my second shooter) captured in a seperate post.

Mother's Love

I just love this series of images from one of my family sessions last week. Mister Caleb was tired of looking at the camera so we decided to have him and his mommy cuddle and play in the grass. Love the interaction between them!

Not so itty bitty newborn Ayden

I think I could shoot newborn sessions everyday and never get tired of them. Sweet Ayden made me want to try every prop and newborn pose, he was so content and squishy.
He may look tiny in his Daddy's big ol' hands, but don't let it fool you he was 9 pounds at birth and is now over 10 pounds at almost 3 weeks.

Something a little different

I wanted to do something a little unique for this senior to showcase his love of the game. Good luck this season, I know you'll make your grandma proud! If you listen to his grandma talk about him you would get the feeling that he is just an all around good guy, and after our session I think grandma has it right. He had such a great attitude and was so easy to work with, I know he will go far in whatever he chooses to do. Just a suggestion though, Manhattan is only a couple hours away and PURPLE is so much cooler than red!

Just a warning to the fiance of this Bride-to-Be, we wouldn't want to spoil the suprise on their wedding day. I had a blast photographing her bridal session, she was all smiles and had to work it to get a serious expression.

We were suprised with a gorgeous rainbow in an otherwise very sunny sky.

Only 15 days left, Jess, the countdown is on!!

Little Firefighters

August 12-16
$25.00
2 5x7 & 8 wallets
30 minute mini session

I call the effect you see on this image "Rockwell" as it is similar to Norman Rockwell paintings.

This effect is "vintage". Both effects are available for your Little Firefighter Sessions, just request a sample in your online gallery.

Some of you may know how dear to my heart Firefighters and Rescue Workers are. I had the privilege of working for The Humboldt Rescue Squad and The Beatrice Fire and Rescue before Sawyer was born. I have since "retired" myself to focus on my business and family but I so miss working with the great Men and Women at the station. As a huge thank you to those that work hard to protect us, including Fire, Rescue, and Police, I will be offering a 20% discount on my regular portrait pricing. This discount applies to anyone, Volunteer or Paid. Be sure to mention the discount at the time of your ordering.

Part of the proceeds of these mini sessions will be donated to Fallen Firefighter Jeremy Wach's Family.
Special Thank You to Beatrice Fire & Rescue and Humboldt Fire Dept. for the used equipment!
