Little Boy Blue

I wanted to share one of my Digital Creations...Little Boy Blue.

Dustin ~Senior 2010

Baby Audi

Kimberly from Studio 8.19 asked me over to play and help pose a couple adorable newborns. I was not able to get any of the Miss Hadlee, but did get a chance to capture a few of the sweet Miss Audi.

More 2010 Seniors!!

My schedule has been full with High School Seniors with many more in the coming weeks! It is such a pleasure to work with these wonderful young adults!

The Adorable Grayson

Meet my newest First Year baby! I can't wait to watch this little man grow up over the
next 9 months!!

Caleb ~ Senior 2010

What a great attitude this soon to be graduate has, so easy to work with and a smile that never ends! I've been having some issues with the weather that Mother Nature has been dishing out and hopes to have a better day for Caleb's outdoor session!

Baby Chase

What a sweet sweet little boy! His proof gallery has already been posted but I just had to share this adorable little guy with all of you!!

September 24, 2009

Trevor~ Senior 2010

Trevor chose his farm for his senior portraits and it was a great decision! So many new locations to try out and a willing subject make for a happy photographer! The image below is my new favorite image!! I <3 this one!!

Sweet Baby Brayden

Could he be any cuter!! What a wonderful little model he was, slept so soundly and left me with no messy laundry!!

I apologize for neglecting the blog!!

I have hardly had a spare minute to get some speakpeeks on here and I apologize to anyone that was waiting for me to put a few up!! I am currently all caught up with proofing and have everyone's galleries online! This next week will put me behind again, but I promise to be better about the sneakpeeks!!

Sweet Isabelle

I have to admit that I have been neglecting my blog and haven't been posting my sneak peeks as quickly as I normally try to. Sweet Little Isabelle came in when she was 2 weeks old and did a fantastic job. She slept so soundly and let me get those great curled up newborn shots and when she was awake she looked right at the camera, amazing eye contact for such a new little one!

Rachel~Senior2010

I had a blast shooting Rachel's senior portraits! We had a great time traveling downtown Beatrice for some "urban" shots and then heading out for a few "country" shots. Just wish she would have brought some brighter clothing choices!! LOL!! I loved her selection of outfits and accessories, from her bright pink nails to her cool pink converses, she wasn't kidding when she told me she liked bold colors!
Big thanks to her Dad, who wins Father of the Year award from me! We couldn't have had the session we did without your patience and attention to detail!

Little Mr. Q

At only 8 days old this little guy was my hardest newborn session ever. He really did not ever go to sleep and it took a lot of cuddling (which I admit I loved) to get the images we did. I have to say the 4 hours spent with him were well worth it, I love these images that I was able to capture.

Baby B

What a sweet little guy, he did awesome, even though he really just wanted me to leave him alone so he could nap!!

August 21, 2009

What a little sweetie!

We managed to get in some outdoor shots before the skies opened up on us and my favorite image came from that location. Isn't the first image adorable!?

August 19, 2009

9 Days New

My favorite subject to photograph would have to be, hands down, NEWBORNS! I was so excited to hear of Kysen's arrival because I knew I would get the chance to play with him. He was a perfect little model, such a great sleeper and oh so cute!

August 18, 2009

Don't Forget to Schedule your School Portraits!!

My calendar is filling up fast so call to make your appointment today!!

My baby is growing up

Every photographer (and most parents) know how difficult it is to photograph your own kids, which is why I dread doing the yearly photo sessions with my children. I put off doing Sawyer's 4 year pictures for a couple weeks, but with the beautiful weather we had yesterday I couldn't resist. He did very good, one small melt down and it only cost me a couple of hot wheels!

August 17, 2009

That was one quick year

As a parent I know just how quickly the first year flies by, but it always seems like the year passes by too quickly when I look back at the sessions from the past year with the babies in my First Year Baby Plan. I enjoy seeing these sweet babies grow from the sweet sleepy newborn to the chubby smiley 6 month into the running and giggling toddler.
Miss J was a doll at her newborn session and has grown into such an adorable little girl!

Caelan~2010 Senior

What I am loving about this years Seniors is how they are planning their sessions at locations with meaning to them. So far I have traveled to family farms, ponds, small towns, and a rock quarry. Caelan was no exception, he really put some thought into the locations, and his session was awesome because of it!

Little Miss Go Go Go

Miss M gets the prize for the fastest baby, and she's not even 1 yet!! She has the most beautiful blue eyes and adorable grin, just wish my "trigger" finger was faster so that I could have captured a few more for her mom and dad. I am looking forward to having my second chance when we meet up again for our outdoor session!

Gerber Baby

This little guy reminded me of the Gerber Baby, with his cute little grin and that adorable red curl! He was a great little model and we breezed through his session in no time!

August 10, 2009

Eric~2010 Senior

Eric was a hard one to crack, he really didn't want to smile for me and was super quiet. In the end when he told me our session was better than being at work I took that as a compliment! All kidding aside I really did enjoy our session, he is a great kid and went along with most of my ideas even though I know he would have rather been done after the first 20 minutes!!

August 9, 2009

I might be a bit biased but...

These are some pretty darn cute kids! Every summer while my sister-in-law and kids are back we try to squeeze in a session. It is getting easier each year. This year I had a blast working with my nephew, the youngest, who would run from the camera last year to asking to have his picture taken this year!

Taylor- 2010 Senior

I traveled to Taylor's grandma's house for her senior session, there was so many cool places to shoot on the farm. There are fields on either side of her house, a barn, a couple out buildings, and the cool old orange pick-up that I wanted to hookup to the back of my van and haul home!

Now that the wedding is over...

I can share a few images from Mollie's Bridal Session. Tony made sure to tell Mollie that I was not allowed to post a sneak peek where he might get a glimpse of her before the wedding!

Tony+Mollie

It is a little later than I originally planned on posting these, I did post a couple on Facebook but forgot to get these up! Better late than never seems to be my motto here lately, I'm not sure I can keep up with the sneak peeks on here and on Facebook!
It was a hot and sunny evening when we were finally able to get out on the golf course, but their awesome wedding party did great when I asked them to do the following image.

Mollie And Tony thank you for allowing me to capture your special day!

Shoni ~ Class of 2010

I had a great session with this 2010 senior, perfect weather (minus the few sprinkles), beautiful location, and a gorgeous girl, what more could I ask for!!

Miss Adrie Gail

One of the perks of becoming an aunt again is getting to photograph my sweet new niece, and knowing that her mommy trusts me enough to just sit back and relax.

July 20, 2009

Mister A

I had the pleasure of photographing this big guy when he was only a few days old and again for his 1st Birthday. Such a cute kid, constant jabbering and on the go go go!!
His mom made his awesome cake, much bigger than the ones I usually get and I bet it tasted better too! Mister A ate his fill and left plenty to share with his daddy!
He has the coolest blue eyes and if you click to enlarge the image you can actually see his dad, the sky and clouds reflected in them.

July 17, 2009

Mr W~ Six Days Old

This adorable little guy almost got the best of us, he did not want to miss out on a minute of his first photo shoot so he decided to stay awake for the entire thing. It's a good thing his parents and I were patient because when he finally gave in he was out cold and we were able to get some really cute shots.

July 16, 2009

Caitlin ~ Class of 2010

I had a blast driving around to all of the fun locations with Caitlin for her summer senior session! We will be seeing a lot of each other over the next few months since she has decided to have her portraits done 3 times, summer, fall, and winter.

Matt & Sheree

My friend and fellow shutterbug got married this weekend and I had the privilege of being the photographer. Since he enjoys photography so much and knows the importance of capturing these once in a lifetime events he allowed me as much time as possible to shoot. It would have been an awesome experience if it weren't for the sweltering heat and humidity, their wedding party were all good sports about it and we captured some great shots. I am just sharing one image for now, because I need to get caught up, but I'm sure there will be more to come!

July 14, 2009

Tamara-Class of 2010

I had a great time meeting up with Tammy in Humboldt for her outdoor session. She is a great young woman and has really grown up since I babysat for her so many years ago.

July 8, 2009

Have I ever told you how much I love Two Year Olds!

I have had a string of really well-behaved kids and this little was no exception. She kept me entertained our whole session, with her 'what's that?' questions, which is one of the many reasons I love Two Year olds!

July 7, 2009

The Ever Adorable Miss E

It was my pleasure to photograph this adorable little girly again! Her mom has great choice in clothing and really knows how to accessorize!

July 3, 2009

Awesome E-Session

Nick and Miranda live a couple hours away so we scheduled both her bridal session and the engagement session on the same day, and lucky for us we had great weather. They are an adorable couple and were up for anything, so of course I took advantage it and went all over Beatrice. With such great attitudes and wonderful chemistry between the two of them I am truly excited for their wedding later this month.
I think this one may be my favorite from the session, but with so many more to go through I may change my mind!

A & Z

What a great session you can have when you have subjects like A & Z! They are so well-behaved and Mr. Z could charm anyone, I know he sure did me!! Love his sun-kissed cheeks, those awesome green eyes, and the ornery smile, reminded me of my own son Bridger.
Miss A is at that 'wonderful' teenage stage where having family portraits done is probably not as important as say, watching the shirtless guys playing frisbee golf, but she suffered through it. Thanks for going easy on me, I know the wrath of a teenage girl can be quite frightening, I have a couple in my home!!

If your name is Nick Meyer close your eyes!!

I loved everything about this session, her dress, the looooong veil, her attitude and those gorgeous blue eyes! I have plenty full length images to show off that awesome dress, but we will keep a few surprises for the wedding day!

July 2, 2009

Simply Gorgeous

I had done Miss B's dance pictures before and this time she brought along her cutie patootie look-alike Miss T. When we were done with the dance outfits we did some of Miss T in the almost 100 year old heirloom dress that her Great Grandmother had worn.
Boy did she know how to work the camera, I couldn't get over how well-behaved and sweet she was. Miss T you are welcome to come back anytime you would like!!
I have found an awesome field of tall grass and wild flowers, it also has the gorgeous light in the early evening. Anyone wanting a session with this style of setting please give me call, I would love to fit in a few more sessions here before the land owner decides to cut it off!

Little Fisherman

Little C has come in to visit me in the studio quite a few times before but this was our first venture outdoors for a session. He wasn't to fond of the grass or the cute little hat his mom brought along, but I think we got a few keepers!

Mr & Mrs. Colee

When I posted Brad and Ashley's engagement session I said I knew they would make a stunning couple on their wedding day and they did not disappoint!! From Ashley's gorgeous dress to the beautiful floral arrangements everything was just perfect. I also knew from our previous session that these two have great chemistry and never-ending smiles, which make for some easy portraits. We traveled to downtown Lincoln before the ceremony to the Capitol where we were able to get some great shots. Lucky for me Ashley works there and knew some of the best areas, the lighting was just gorgeous in the long hallways and on the balcony.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Colee!

June 21, 2009

Mr & Mrs. Kleveland

I told the bride that I would get this sneak peek up just a little quicker than normal so they can get a look before they leave for their honeymoon in Hawaii. We had some wet weather yesterday but that didn't stop the happy couple from enjoying their day!

I don't think I could have asked for a more perfect day for a wedding! This awesome couple made my day so easy, they were so laid back and their wedding party was up for anything.
I love this quick shot I grabbed of the little family.
So many little details to catch.

Fancy Pants

I was totally swept off my feet by a 5 year old at a wedding I photographed saturday!! Mr. Fancy Pants as he would like to be called or "Just Fancy" as he so charmingly told me is a real heartbreaker. From the moment I saw him peeking out the front door of the church I knew he was quite the character! I have a real wedding sneak peek to share tomorrow, but I couldn't help but showcase my new little friend!

Growing Up So Fast

Mr. T is probably one of the easiest and most smiley 1 year olds that I have been lucky enough to photograph. I hadn't seen him since our session last fall and boy has he grown up! I have had the pleasure of photographing his family now for a couple years and was honored to be be chosen to capture his first year.
Just look at the difference 1 year makes!

Kim, I should be done with the rest of his proofs today, sorry for the delay in the sneak peek!

Mr & Mrs Smith

I apologize for not sharing this beautiful wedding with you! I have all the images done, the book has been ordered, and the bride brought it to my attention that I didn't do a sneak peek! We left for Chicago the day after this wedding, through the chaos of that and trying to get caught up afterwards it totally slipped my mind. I am so sorry!!
I try to do something a little different for each bride and groom with their rings, but this bible verse is just perfect and has become one of my standard shots. I loved how this one turned out!
They say it is lucky if it rains on your wedding day, if so then this couple will be blessed. As I arrived to the church the skies opened up and it really poured, but then all blew over and we were able to get some shots outside.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Smith!!
