Painted Fairy

I have been wanting to learn how to "paint" my images digitally, and this image was the perfect image to try my new techniques. I am hoping to start offering these as both an option with images that I have taken and for your personal images. Let me know what you think of this Sweet Little Fairy.

I'm looking for some models!

I would like to try a few ideas but I need some new "willing" models.
1. Couples- If you are in love and don't mind showing it you might be just what I need.
2. Newborns- Under 2 weeks old for an in-home session.
3. Brides- I have some ideas for interesting Bridal Portraits and need a few "adventurous" women. Don't worry we will be careful to not harm your wedding gown.
Please call the studio 402-239-8922 to discuss booking your Complimentary Session.

Happy New Year!

2008 is bringing in a few changes at Crumrine Photography. I felt this would be a great time to let you in on some of the New Features to be offered this year. One of my favorite's will be the monthly Mini-Sessions. Some of these sessions will be Angel/Cherubs, Grandma's Attic, Day at the Beach, Gone Fishin', Lil' Firemen, Fall Fairies, and Back to School, with more to be announced later. This month's session is Winter Fairies, complete with a winter scene in the studio and plenty of Fairy costumes for little girls ages 0-10. More information on this mini-session will be posted in the coming week. I will also be doing some reconfiguration of my pricing structure to make ordering easier and allow you the client to make more decisions in your packages. I have also decided to discontinue offering portraiture for large extended families and focus on my specialty of photographing Newborns, Children, and Seniors. I will still offer family portraits for small families, but with my limited studio space I have realized I am not capable of accommodating large groups. (All gift-certificates for family sessions will be honored.) I am also excited to introduce my NEW Senior Website, which will be unveiled within the next month! With the introduction of the New Senior Site there will be some great Specials for the upcoming 2009 Seniors and a contest for my 2008 Seniors. So be sure to come back and check those out!
Thank You to all that helped make 2007 such a wonderful year!

Last Senior of the year!

I had the privilege of photographing this gorgeous senior this summer and then again this past week. We even ventured out in the beautiful snow!

He knows if you've been bad or good!!

These 2 were so stinkin' cute, red hair and lots of spunk! I love the way these images turned out from their family session. I do have to say that I think Santa needs to eat lots of Milk and Cookies this Christmas Eve, his pants are looking a little baggy!

Hope everyone is safe and warm!

Here is 1 image, edited 3 ways, of the ice hanging off my children's swing set. The first is the way the ice looks naturally, the 2nd is with a hint of blue to cool things off, and the 3rd is a negative view. Which one do you like best?
I wondered around my yard this morning taking pictures of this beautiful ice. It is kinda creepy sounding out there as the wind blows and the ice laden trees creak and moan under the weight. We haven't lost power, but my mom called this morning to tell me that there are trees limbs down and they are without electricity. I guess areas south of Gage County were hit harder by the ice storm.

Winter Wonderland!

I love snow! I always have, when I was a little girl I would spend hours outside playing in the snow, building igloos, and sledding. I was so excited to get to take Sawyer out in the new snow yesterday. We took a walk around the neighborhood, and of course I took my camera. Sawyer loves snow now too, but mostly he loves to eat it!!

Have I ever told you how much I love close-ups?

I promised this sweet family a sneak peek, and I am just now getting around to getting them on here. I will have the rest of your images ready by tomorrow morning.

Mr. Adorable

What do you get when you cross the cutest little fauxhawk, big beautiful blue eyes, chubby pinchable cheeks, and a sweet little pout? Meet Mr. B aka Mr. Adorable!! Although he didn't give me as many smiles as his mom would have liked I think I was able to get a few keepers.

Christmas Cutie!

With Christmas just around the corner I have done so many cute little ones for their Christmas cards. I have had the pleasure of photographing adorable Miss K a couple times now, and she just keeps getting cuter.

My new studio is ready, well almost!

My husband has been very busy the last couple months finishing off our new studio. He did an awesome job, pretty much single-handedly I might add. I also need to thank my kids for "helping" me paint and Bertus who came over to get Bryan going on the drywall. All that is needed now is a few touch ups on the paint, new carpet, and getting my new prints and canvases on the walls. I have already done a few sessions and I have to tell you how much better it is in here. I have so much more room, although that will not last long the way I like to buy new props. It is also much brighter, and that seems to be helping my actual studio images. I'll post a few recent images and see what you think!

We're Back!!

Thanks to Kim, a great friend and wonderful photographer my website is back up! And while she was plugging away fixing what I don't understand I proofed some of the family pictures from my own family's session. I am very happy to have gotten what I did, doing my own family is 10 times harder than any other session. I would get everyone positioned the way I want and then run into the image using the self timer. Let me tell you 10 seconds sometimes isn't long enough! Here is one that I really like, I think it might be our Christmas card image this year.

My apologies!!

I am in the process of switching to a new server with more space and it is taking longer than I expected. I hope to have the problem resolved later today. Thanks for your patience!
